The Drum Pulled Off Its Post
One beat on the gate drum is the signal to chain the market shut, and after that beat it hangs on its post until morning. Tonight it came down early — found resting against the gatepost instead of hanging from it, the lacing still looped loose where someone had untied it.
Each row and column has numbers beside it. Those numbers tell you how many squares in that line need to be filled in. Two numbers in one line means two separate groups, with at least one empty square between them.
Tap a square to fill it in. Tap again to mark it empty. Fill every square the numbers call for and a picture of the evidence appears.
Four wrong taps and you lose the case.
